The Seneca7i (virtual race)
- Team captains must register for the virtual race in order to receive a webpage link for recording your team's times.
- Team captains log the times (elapsed time, NOT time of day) for runs completed between January 7 and April 7.
- Runners should complete runs of the same distance as the real Seneca7 running relay. These runs can be the same day or different days, but cannot be one long 10.8-mile run split into multiple time segments, because that's not allowed in the non-virtual Seneca7.
- Runners should try to find courses of similar terrain as the actual Seneca7 leg (i.e. hilly, rolling, flat, etc), but we understand that won't always be possible.
- In addition to the logging of times, runners can optionally link their Strava account and share their runs. These will be placed on a big interactive map. Share your Strava runs (and mark them "Seneca7i" in the name of the activity) with:
https://www.strava.com/athletes/52702677
- Times will be aggregated and overlayed on a map of the real Seneca7 course.
- On April 7, results of the virtual race and a race simulation will be released for viewing. Finisher Certificates will be distributed to all teams upon completion.
